Life can be extremely challenging at times. Often, when standing in the thick of those challenges, it is difficult to see a future without them. When provided with a safe, compassionate, empathetic space, we can safely explore our thoughts and feelings, challenge them, and when necessary and possible, make the changes we need/want in our lives. We believe, here at Winds of Change, LLC we provide our clients with the tools needed to navigate the challenging times that life can bring.

Our Approach

Dr. Janette Williams is a licensed clinical psychologist in the states of both Illinois (license #071.008054) and Florida (license #PY 12267). Dr. Williams is also a member of PsyPact (APIT #17175), which allows her to provide services across state lines to participating states. She received her doctorate from Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. Of note, Dr. Williams minored in Spirituality and believes in a holistic approach to treatment. Dr. Williams has worked with clients of all ages and has extensive experience treating mood disorders as well as trauma. Her therapeutic approach would be considered Transpersonal as well as Cognitive Behavioral. Her goal is to help you identify your strengths and to assist you in learning new ways in which to enhance your life skills. As indicated, Dr. Williams also believes in incorporating your spiritual belief systems when appropriate. She is certified in hypnotherapy through American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) and also trained and certified by Dr. Brian Weiss. Dr. Williams also uses techniques such as EMDR, Focusing, EFT and other Mindfulness processes.

Cynthia Staples, NCC, LPC (license #178.006236) graduated with a Master's degree in Counseling from Governors State University and is a licensed professional counselor. Cynthia also has 17 years of experience in career counseling and working in Higher Education as an instructor, internship coordinator and workshop trainer. She is passionate about helping people discover their natural strengths to facilitate healing and grow into the best possible version of themselves. Cynthia also believes in a holistic approach and leans heavily into transpersonal and cognitive behavioral interventions.
